About Taylor
Whether I’m planning a trip, framing a photograph, or designing a space, I’m asking the same question: what makes this place feel like itself?
I’m Taylor Campbell: writer, photographer, interior designer, and travel advisor, based on California’s Central Coast. I love mornings with my golden pup, farmers markets, thoughtful stays, and anywhere that embodies a sense of place. I shop for what’s in season and cook at home most days, and I travel the same way: fewer places, longer looks.
Years in wine + spirits taught me hospitality, and training in interior design taught me to read every place like a room. Both live in the details. But more than anything, hospitality is a feeling: being seen, being understood, and so being cared for.
In 2025, my husband and I put our lives in storage and spent three months driving through ten western states with our golden girl, Berkeley. That became Soulward, a book of photographs and essays.
Sojourne
My editorial brand is Sojourne, where soul meets journey. I started it in 2022 as an editorial home for writing, soulful interviews, and travel guides rooted in sense of place. Its symbol is the nautilus, a shell that grows in an ever-widening spiral, carrying every chamber it has built while making room for the next. Just like our own life's chapters. Read the Journal.
